Copies of:
The Brighton News
Rochester’s Brightest Weekly

The Newspaper titled "The Brighton News" was published in Brighton N. Y. from 1901 to ~ 1908.

One of the most likeable sentences in this paper is the explanation of its existence appearing on page two, as follows:

The Brighton News / Brighton N. Y. East Avenue

Published every Friday..... By Fred R. Stewart..... Editor & Proprietor

"This Journal is conducted for the purpose of meeting its debts and earning a living.
Don’t imagine it is being run as a giddy pastime."

We are interested in viewing existing copies of this newspaper. We have had access to only three copies, Jan. 13,1905, Sept 21, 1908 & Sept 28, 1908.

Published weekly for seven years, 52 editions a year, resulted in 364 editions printed. If the range of publication from 1901 to 1908 is correct, we have viewed approximately one tenth of one percent of the total papers published. One of the eight pages contained stories of the Village of Brighton and West Brighton.
